The Az W Photo Award - The Winners Architecture and Urbanism in Southeast Europe Architecture and Urban Phenomena in Southeast Europe In 2009 the Az W Photo Award was launched as part of the Architekturzentrum Wien spotlight on the Balkans — with prizes for photographers, supported by KODAK. The ten best photographs from the Balkans/Southeast Europe were selected on the subject of Architecture and Urbanism in Southeast Europe. The Az W jury selected the ten winners on 18.12.2009 from over 350 works submitted by 92 entrants. The quality and diversity of the 'Balkan views' shows that the myth of the Balkans represents an inexhaustible resource and source of projections.
The ten winning photographs are to be admired until the end of the exhibition 'Balkanology. New Architecture and Urban Phenomena in Southeast Europe' on 18.1.2010. The next Az W Photo Award is to be given in the course of the next autumn exhibition in 2010 on the subject of Urban Public Space. |
